With N2 Document Management System, the electronic folder replaces a paper file folder and can contain documents in the form of images such as JPEG and TIFF as well as electronic documents such as Adobe PDF and MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel. The system easily integrates with Fax Servers and e-mail systems to store transmitted documents such as faxes, emails and attachments.
Documents are stored in a file cabinet scheme just as papers are traditionally filed. Indexing metadata is stored along with the documents as identifiers to these files. N2 DMS electronic file templates have attributes that can uniquely identify the documents within the system. These help the powerful search engine to locate documents for fast and easy retrieval. Index attributes for a Drug Master File includes DMF number, product name, module name and agency. The multi-format viewer incorporated into the document management system enables user to display any documents mentioned above in a single viewer allowing users to annotate them as well as add digital stamps.
Comprehensive version control and audit logs in the N2 document management system make it compliant with US FDA 21 CFR Part 11 which is a prerequisite for companies in Pharmaceutical industry.
