Plustek announces the addition of Plustek OpticBook A300 to its family of book scanners. Sharing information and making earth lush green is truly a call of the hour. Keeping this concept clear in mind, OpticBook A300 has been created.
The Plustek A300 Standalone Solution is  designed for libraries, schools, graphic designers, publishing companies, hospitals, law firms, court houses and financial institutions. The Plustek A300 Standalone Solution scans thick books without unbinding or dismantling them, making it a perfect solution for digitizing and preserving precious and valuable books. Particularly useful with bound materials, the Plustek A300 Standalone Solution also includes a patented design that eliminates the book spine shadow and text distortion of traditional book copying and scanning. Plusteks patent-pending SEE Technology (Shadow Elimination Element) combines a patented lamp light with a special edge design that allows the scanning module to scan right up to where the book spine is placed. This clever design avoids the need for a large, expensive overhead scanner or complicated image-editing software. With Plusteks SEE Technology and the Plustek Standalone Solutions clearly-scanned pages, Becky is able to produce perfect scan results, even near the binding.
The touch screen panel design makes it more fancy and user friendly. The scanned documents can be sent any destination without the requirement of a PC. Using the touch screen, the users can store the documents in a USB flash drive either in PDF or JPG format. , which of course is predetermined before the scanning. OpticBook A300s compact design enables it to take very less space and consumes less power - therefore can be placed in any unused corner of the library.
OpticBook A300 standalone solution is capable of scanning an A3 size page in just 2.4 seconds. It also creates crisp sharp images of the pages, which can then be turned into different formats. However, the scanner is so versatile that it can take any paper till large books to perform variable scanning from 50 dpi up to 1200 dpi. The scanner is so rugged that it can perform up to 3000 scans per day. Suggesting MSRP Price: Rs. 150,000.
