Amuro Wesley | If you have problem getting targeted traffic to your sites, check out Magic Submitter at * How to use viral marketing to generate traffic for your sites Sun, 11 Dec 2011 13:00:00 GMT Though affiliate marketing can provide us with great income and freedom to live the way we want, it is better to be careful due to numerous online scams. That is why in this article, I am going to differentiate real paying affiliate programs from scams that remain as main obstacle to us ever achieving true success. In case you do not know what affiliate marketing is, it is promoting a product or service in exchange for a commission. You can choose to promote digital products from online marketplaces like Clickbank such as ebooks, home study video courses and software tools. Or physical products like automatic coffee makers, computers, electronics, iphones and oven toasters just to name a few from many. Since the start of 2011, I have been recommended to many affiliate programs claiming you can make thousands or even millions with few clicks of a mouse. If you look and even think closely, most of those so-called gurus promoting those are actually paid actors who have never earned online at all. Because if these people are really making a lot of money as they claim, why do they need our investment? Worse still, they bashed other gurus as scammers when they themselves are no different. They openly declared that those gurus make money just from teaching people how to do affiliate marketing without actually doing themselves. They also condemned methods like article marketing, blogging, list building and paid advertising without revealing how they actually make money themselves. Quite frankly, I despised such tactics and will never promote them. They are no better than pyramid schemes in the pre-internet days as the only people making money in such programs are those so-called gurus themselves. They have no real proof or system on how to make money online and their money back guarantee is just to convince people faster. But when you actually joined and need help, their support team turns out to be even more ignorant than you or worse, never respond. When that happens, it becomes a living nightmare for new affiliates starting out. You lose your hard-earned money, not able to get the support you need and ended up worse than you are initially. Real paying affiliate programs should be free. They should not demand any money from you. Other than that, they should provide adequate support not just in support desk but the tools and resources you need to succeed as affiliate. Apart from conventional banners, ecovers and graphics, they should have email swipes, blog reviews, articles, manual and video tutorials that will teach you step-by-step. If they have webinars, that will even be better. Online Business
